Description

Quick and easy dinner rolls that offer a golden crust and tender interior, perfect for busy weeknights or last-minute guests.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 1/4 cups warm water
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 Tbsp active dry yeast
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 egg
  • 3 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • Butter for brushing on top (optional)

Instructions

  1. Line a 9×13 baking pan with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  2. In a stand mixer bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it proof for 2-5 minutes until frothy.
  3. Add vegetable oil, salt, and egg to the yeast mixture and mix until combined.
  4. Gradually add flour, one cup at a time, mixing until combined. Knead the dough for about 4 minutes.
  5. Shape the dough into 15 balls and place them in the prepared baking dish, spacing evenly. Cover with a dish towel.
  6. Preheat your oven to 375°F.
  7. Once the oven is hot, bake the rolls for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. Remove from the oven and brush the tops with melted butter if desired before serving.

Notes

For variations, try adding garlic powder and herbs for flavor or cheese-stuffed options. These rolls can also be made ahead and refrigerated overnight before baking.
