Description

A cozy and indulgent dessert combining sweet roasted pears, tangy blue cheese, and crunchy walnuts, all drizzled with honey and complemented by warm berries.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 ripe pears (Bosc or Bartlett), halved and cored
  • 2 tbsp butter, melted
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 cup mixed berries (such as blueberries and raspberries)
  • 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped
  • 1/2 cup blue cheese, crumbled
  • Pinch of kosher salt
  • Freshly ground black pepper, optional
  • A squeeze of lemon juice
  • Extra honey for drizzling

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Place the halved pears cut side up in a baking dish.
  3. Drizzle the melted butter and honey over the pears.
  4. Sprinkle the mixed berries and chopped walnuts around the pears.
  5. Crumble blue cheese on top of the pears.
  6. Bake for about 25-30 minutes until pears are tender and berries are glossy.
  7. Serve warm with a drizzle of honey and a pinch of pepper.

Notes

Bosc pears hold their shape well, while Bartletts become sweeter and softer. Adjust the amount of blue cheese based on its pungency.
