- 2 pounds beef tips
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 4 cups diced potatoes
- 1 cup heavy cream (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Place the beef tips into the slow cooker and pour in the beef broth.
- Scatter the chopped onion and minced garlic over the meat.
- Add the Worcestershire sauce, and season lightly with salt and pepper.
- Gently stir the ingredients to distribute the onions and garlic.
- Add the diced potatoes and stir again to coat them in the savory liquid.
- Cover the slow cooker and set it to low. Cook for 6 to 8 hours, or until the beef is fork-tender and the potatoes are soft.
- If using, stir in the heavy cream just before serving and adjust seasoning as needed.
- Ladle the beef, potatoes, and gravy into bowls and serve hot.
Notes
For extra flavor, brown the beef before adding it to the slow cooker and consider adding herbs for depth.
