- 1 bag (12 oz) fresh cranberries
- 1 cup orange juice
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 cup water
Instructions
- Rinse the cranberries and measure the orange juice, sugar, cinnamon, and water.
- Pour the orange juice into a medium saucepan and add the sugar and cinnamon. Stir gently until the sugar dissolves.
- Add the cranberries and water to the saucepan.
- Place the pan over medium heat, bring to a gentle boil, and stir occasionally.
- When the cranberries begin to pop, reduce the heat to low and let it simmer uncovered for 10 to 15 minutes while stirring occasionally.
- Remove from heat and let the sauce cool slightly before serving or transfer to a container to chill.
Notes
This sauce can be made ahead of time and improves after a day in the fridge. It freezes well in small portions.
