- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 1 egg
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda

- 1 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
- 2–3 tablespoons maple syrup (for glaze)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cream together the brown sugar and softened butter until smooth and fluffy.
- Blend in the egg and maple syrup.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients until just incorporated.
- Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a lined baking sheet.
- Bake for about 10-12 minutes until edges are lightly golden.
- Prepare the glaze by mixing powdered sugar with 2-3 tablespoons of maple syrup until smooth.
- Drizzle glaze over cooled cookies before serving.
