Ingredients

- 1 cup cherries, pitted and halved
- 1 cup mascarpone cheese
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup amaretto liqueur
- 1 cup strong coffee, cooled
- 24 to 30 ladyfinger cookies
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Cocoa powder for dusting
Instructions
- In a bowl, beat the heavy cream with sugar using an electric mixer until soft peaks form, about 3-4 minutes.
- Gently fold in the mascarpone cheese, amaretto, and vanilla extract into the whipped cream until smooth and creamy.
- Dip the ladyfinger cookies briefly into the cooled coffee and arrange them in a single layer in the bottom of a baking dish.
- Spread half of the mascarpone mixture evenly over the ladyfingers, followed by half of the cherries.
- Repeat the layering process with the remaining ladyfingers, mascarpone mixture, and cherries.
- Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 240 minutes, ideally overnight.
- Before serving, dust the top generously with cocoa powder.
Notes
Chill your mixing bowls before whipping cream for better volume. Allow the tiramisu to chill overnight for optimal flavor.
