Description

A delightful twist on traditional tiramisu featuring luscious cherries and the flavor of amaretto, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup cherries, pitted and halved
  • 1 cup mascarpone cheese
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup amaretto liqueur
  • 1 cup strong coffee, cooled
  • 24 to 30 ladyfinger cookies
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Cocoa powder for dusting

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, beat the heavy cream with sugar using an electric mixer until soft peaks form, about 3-4 minutes.
  2. Gently fold in the mascarpone cheese, amaretto, and vanilla extract into the whipped cream until smooth and creamy.
  3. Dip the ladyfinger cookies briefly into the cooled coffee and arrange them in a single layer in the bottom of a baking dish.
  4. Spread half of the mascarpone mixture evenly over the ladyfingers, followed by half of the cherries.
  5. Repeat the layering process with the remaining ladyfingers, mascarpone mixture, and cherries.
  6. Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 240 minutes, ideally overnight.
  7. Before serving, dust the top generously with cocoa powder.

Notes

Chill your mixing bowls before whipping cream for better volume. Allow the tiramisu to chill overnight for optimal flavor.
