- 4 slices of bread
- 2 cooked chicken breasts, shredded
- 1 avocado, sliced
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a small bowl, mix together the shredded chicken, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Spread butter on one side of each slice of bread.
- Place two slices of bread, butter side down, on a baking sheet.
- Divide the chicken mixture evenly and spread it across the two slices of bread.
- Layer the sliced avocado on top of the chicken.
- Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the avocado.
- Top each sandwich with the remaining slices of bread, butter side up.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 10 to 15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the bread is toasted.
- Let the sandwiches cool slightly before serving, then cut in half and enjoy warm.
Notes
Use room-temperature butter for even spreading. Feel free to personalize the sandwich with additional toppings like pesto or sliced tomatoes.
