Description

Comforting green beans enveloped in a sticky, sweet sauce with crispy bacon, perfect for potlucks and family dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cans Canned French-style green beans (drained)
  • 6 slices Bacon (cooked until crispy)
  • 1/2 cup Brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup Butter (melted)
  • 1/4 cup Soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon until crispy, about 8 to 10 minutes. Remove from skillet and chop into bite-sized pieces.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the drained green beans, chopped bacon, melted butter, brown sugar, soy sauce, and garlic powder. Stir until evenly coated.
  4. Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish and spread into an even layer.
  5. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes until bubbly and caramelized. Let rest before serving.

Notes

For a vegetarian version, skip the bacon and add smoked paprika for flavor. Leftovers reheat well in a low oven.
