Description

A comforting side dish featuring tender green beans wrapped in a glossy, caramel-sweet sauce with crispy bacon and a hint of garlic.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cans Canned French-style green beans (drained)
  • 6 slices Bacon (cooked until crispy)
  • 1/2 cup Brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup Butter (melted)
  • 1/4 cup Soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F.
  2. Cook bacon in a large skillet over medium heat until crispy, about 8 to 10 minutes. Remove and chop.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine green beans, bacon, melted butter, brown sugar, soy sauce, and garlic powder. Mix well.
  4. Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish, spreading it into an even layer.
  5. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes until bubbly and caramelized. Let rest before serving.

Notes

For a vegetarian version, omit the bacon and add smoked paprika. Leftovers can be reheated gently in the oven or skillet.
