Ingredients
Ingredients You’ll Need:
- 1 lb ground beef
- 3 teaspoons olive oil
- 5–6 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 3 cups beef broth
- 8 oz Bowtie Pasta
- 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- 3/4 cup half and half (or whole milk)
- 1/2 teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 1–2 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped
Instructions
Step 1: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat for 1-2 minutes until hot.
Step 2: Add the finely chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet. Sauté for 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the onions soften and become translucent.
Step 3: Add the ground beef to the skillet, breaking it up with a spatula. Cook for 6-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the beef is browned and fully cooked. Drain any excess fat if necessary.
Step 4: Stir in Worcestershire sauce, Italian seasoning, and smoked paprika. Cook for another 1-2 minutes to let the spices blend into the beef mixture.
Step 5: Pour in the beef broth and bring the mixture to a simmer. Let it cook for 5 minutes, allowing the broth to reduce slightly.
Step 7: Stir in butter, grated parmesan cheese, and half and half into the beef mixture. Stir constantly until the cheese melts and the sauce becomes smooth and creamy. If the sauce is too thick, add some reserved pasta water until you reach the desired consistency.
Step 8: Add the cooked pasta into the skillet and toss everything together to coat the pasta with the creamy sauce. Season with salt and black pepper to taste, and sprinkle red pepper flakes for extra heat (optional).
Step 10: Garnish with fresh parsley and additional parmesan cheese before serving.
