Description
A quick and comforting creamy pasta dish with garlic and Parmesan that feels like a warm hug on a plate.
Ingredients
Scale
- 8 oz pasta (any type)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of generously salted water to a rolling boil and add the pasta. Cook according to package instructions until al dente, then reserve 1/3 cup of pasta water, drain, and set aside.
- In a skillet over medium heat, warm the olive oil and sauté the minced garlic until fragrant and slightly golden, about 30 to 60 seconds.
- Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer, stirring occasionally.
- Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese and season with salt and pepper, stirring until melted and silky.
- Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to coat. If the sauce is too thick, add reserved pasta water a tablespoon at a time until desired consistency is reached.
- Plate the pasta, garnish with fresh parsley, and serve hot.
Notes
Use freshly grated Parmesan for the best melt and flavor. Reserve pasta water to adjust sauce consistency if needed.
