Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 large potatoes, thinly sliced
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (Cheddar or Gruyère)

  3. Butter your baking dish and layer the potatoes, seasoning each layer with salt and pepper, and adding sautéed onions and garlic.
  4. Pour the heavy cream over the layered potatoes.
  5. Sprinkle cheese on top.
  6. Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
  7. Remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes or until top is golden and bubbly.
  8. Let rest for a few minutes, then garnish with parsley before serving.

Notes

Experiment with variations like adding ham, using sweet potatoes, or incorporating fresh herbs for different flavor profiles.
