Description

A quick and comforting dinner featuring silky fettuccine coated in a creamy sauce with tender shrimp and Parmesan cheese.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz fettuccine pasta
  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the fettuccine according to package instructions in salted water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Sauté minced garlic until fragrant and lightly golden.
  3. Add shrimp to the skillet and cook until pink, then remove shrimp and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, melt butter over low heat, then pour in heavy cream and let it simmer.
  5. Stir in grated Parmesan cheese, adding salt and pepper to taste until the sauce is smooth.
  6. Toss the cooked fettuccine and shrimp into the sauce, mixing well. If the sauce is too thick, add a splash of reserved pasta water.
  7. Serve immediately, garnished with chopped parsley.

Notes

For added heat, sprinkle with crushed red pepper flakes. This dish can also be customized with vegetables or different proteins.
