Description
A quick and comforting dinner featuring silky fettuccine coated in a creamy sauce with tender shrimp and Parmesan cheese.

- 8 oz fettuccine pasta
- 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tbsp butter
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Cook the fettuccine according to package instructions in salted water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Sauté minced garlic until fragrant and lightly golden.
- Add shrimp to the skillet and cook until pink, then remove shrimp and set aside.
- In the same skillet, melt butter over low heat, then pour in heavy cream and let it simmer.
- Stir in grated Parmesan cheese, adding salt and pepper to taste until the sauce is smooth.
- Toss the cooked fettuccine and shrimp into the sauce, mixing well. If the sauce is too thick, add a splash of reserved pasta water.
- Serve immediately, garnished with chopped parsley.
Notes
For added heat, sprinkle with crushed red pepper flakes. This dish can also be customized with vegetables or different proteins.
