Ingredients

Scale

Ingredients You’ll Need

    • 12 ounces of linguine pasta

    • 1 pound ground beef

    • 1 jar (24 ounces) marinara sauce

    • 8 ounces Velveeta cheese, cubed

    • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

    • ½ teaspoon garlic powder

    • ½ teaspoon onion powder

    • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

    • ¼ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)

    • Salt and black pepper, to taste

    • 1 tablespoon olive oil

    • Optional: chopped fresh parsley or basil for garnish

Instructions

Preparation

Step 1: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the linguine pasta and cook according to the package instructions until al dente, usually around 9 to 11 minutes. Once cooked, drain the pasta and set it aside.

Step 2: While the pasta is cooking, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook it until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon as it cooks. Make sure there’s no pink left. Drain any excess fat from the pan.

Step 3: Season the browned beef with garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, crushed red pepper flakes (if using), salt, and pepper. Stir everything together well so the beef absorbs all those wonderful flavors.

Step 4: Pour the marinara sauce into the skillet with the seasoned beef. Stir to combine, then reduce the heat to low and let it simmer gently for 5 to 7 minutes. This allows the flavors to meld and deepen.

Step 5: Add the Velveeta cheese cubes to the skillet. Stir frequently until the cheese is fully melted and incorporated into the sauce, creating a rich, creamy, and smooth texture.

Step 6: Add the cooked linguine to the skillet. Toss gently but thoroughly to coat every strand of pasta in the creamy beef marinara sauce.

Step 7: Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the top. Cover the skillet with a lid and let it sit for 2 to 3 minutes, or until the mozzarella melts. For a bubbly golden top, you can place the skillet under a broiler for 2 to 3 minutes just watch carefully so it doesn’t burn.

Step 8: Garnish with freshly chopped parsley or basil, if desired. Serve immediately while the pasta is hot, creamy, and delicious.
