- 2 pounds beef sirloin, cut into cubes
- 1 onion, sliced
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch (optional for thickening)
- 2 tablespoons water (optional for thickening)
Instructions
- Place the beef cubes evenly in the base of the crockpot.
- Layer the sliced onion on top of the beef cubes.
- In a separate bowl, mix beef broth, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, black pepper, and salt. Stir and pour over the beef and onions.
- Cover and cook on low for 7-8 hours or high for 4-5 hours until the beef is fork-tender.
- If desired, mix cornstarch and water in a small bowl and stir into the sauce during the last 30 minutes for thickening.
- Serve the beef tips over rice or noodles with the sauce drizzled on top.
Notes
For richer flavor, consider adding fresh herbs or vegetables like carrots and potatoes. This dish is also great for meal prep and freezes well.
