- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 small head of cabbage, chopped
- 1 can (15 oz) diced tomatoes
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 cup rice (uncooked)
- 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef for about 5-7 minutes. Add chopped onion and minced garlic, sauté until the onion is translucent, then drain excess fat.
- In a large crockpot, combine the cooked beef mixture with chopped cabbage, diced tomatoes, beef broth, and uncooked rice. Season with Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Stir the mixture well and cover the crockpot. Cook on low for 6-8 hours, checking for doneness of cabbage and rice.
- Serve warm, optionally with crusty bread for dipping.
