Description

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
  • 1 packet onion soup mix
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Place the chicken breasts directly into the crockpot.
  2. In a medium mixing bowl, combine the cream of chicken soup, onion soup mix, and chicken broth. Whisk until smooth.
  3. Sprinkle salt and pepper over the chicken.
  4. Cover the crockpot and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
  5. Once cooked, shred the chicken using two forks.
  6. Mix the shredded chicken into the gravy in the crockpot.
  7. Serve over rice, mashed potatoes, or noodles and garnish with parsley if desired.

Notes

For a heartier meal, consider adding vegetables or using chicken thighs. This dish also freezes well for future meals.
