- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
- 1 packet onion soup mix
- 1 cup chicken broth
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Place the chicken breasts directly into the crockpot.
- In a medium mixing bowl, combine the cream of chicken soup, onion soup mix, and chicken broth. Whisk until smooth.
- Sprinkle salt and pepper over the chicken.
- Cover the crockpot and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
- Once cooked, shred the chicken using two forks.
- Mix the shredded chicken into the gravy in the crockpot.
- Serve over rice, mashed potatoes, or noodles and garnish with parsley if desired.
Notes
For a heartier meal, consider adding vegetables or using chicken thighs. This dish also freezes well for future meals.
