  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, spices, salt, and cocoa powder until well combined.
  3. In another mixing bowl, beat together the granulated sugar, brown sugar, molasses, egg, and vanilla extract until smooth and glossy.
  4. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients, combining gently.
  5. Chill the dough in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes.
  6. Scoop out tablespoon-sized portions of dough, roll into balls, and coat in powdered sugar.
  7. Place the dough balls on the baking sheet, spaced apart.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are set and tops are crinkled.
  9. Cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
