Description

Comforting and flavorful Greek turkey meatballs served with a cool, tangy tzatziki sauce, perfect for a weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound lean ground turkey
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 cucumber, grated and drained
  • 1 clove garlic, minced (for tzatziki)
  • Fresh dill (optional, for tzatziki)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground turkey, breadcrumbs, parmesan, parsley, minced garlic, oregano, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until combined.
  3. Shape the mixture into small meatballs and place them on the baking sheet, spacing them out for even cooking.
  4. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature of 165°F).
  5. While the meatballs bake, prepare the tzatziki by mixing Greek yogurt, lemon juice, grated cucumber, minced garlic, and dill in a small bowl; taste and adjust seasoning as needed.
  6. Serve meatballs warm with tzatziki spooned over or on the side for dipping.

Notes

These meatballs freeze well, and the tzatziki can be made ahead. Adjust salt and lemon in the tzatziki for desired tangy flavor.
