- 1 cup orzo pasta
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup cooked chicken, shredded
- 1 cup asparagus, chopped
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Olive oil for cooking
Instructions
- In a large pot, heat a little olive oil over medium heat.
- Add the chopped asparagus and sauté until tender.
- Add the orzo pasta and sauté for another minute.
- Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat and simmer for about 10 minutes until the orzo is cooked.
- Stir in the shredded chicken, cheese, and heavy cream.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Cook for a few more minutes until everything is heated through and creamy.
- Serve warm and enjoy.
Notes
For added flavor, consider adding garlic, onion, or lemon zest. Be mindful of the cheese melting into the sauce for a creamy texture.
