Description

A comforting high protein chicken orzo dish that combines chicken, orzo pasta, and asparagus in a creamy, cheesy sauce.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup orzo pasta
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 lb chicken breast, diced
  • 1 cup asparagus, chopped
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
  2. Add diced chicken and cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally until golden brown.
  3. Stir in chopped asparagus and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
  4. Pour in orzo pasta and chicken broth, bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 10-12 minutes until orzo is tender.
  5. Stir in heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, salt, pepper, and garlic powder; mix well and let meld on heat for a few more minutes. Serve hot.
