- 4 chicken breasts
- 1 lemon (juiced and zested)
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 3 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
- Pat the chicken dry and season with salt and pepper. Press parmesan cheese onto each breast.
- Heat a skillet and melt butter over medium heat. Sauté the minced garlic until fragrant.
- Add chicken breasts to the skillet and cook for 5 to 7 minutes on each side until golden, reaching 165°F internal temperature.
- Pour lemon juice and zest over the chicken, spooning the sauce over each piece for 2 to 3 minutes until thickened.
- Transfer chicken to plates, garnish with fresh parsley, and serve warm.
Notes
Use a meat thermometer to make sure chicken is cooked properly. Feel free to experiment with variations by using different cheeses or adding herbs.
