Description

A quick and comforting dish featuring chicken breasts with a crispy parmesan crust and a silky lemon-butter sauce.


Ingredients

  • 4 chicken breasts
  • 1 lemon (juiced and zested)
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Pat the chicken dry and season with salt and pepper. Press parmesan cheese onto each breast.
  2. Heat a skillet and melt butter over medium heat. Sauté the minced garlic until fragrant.
  3. Add chicken breasts to the skillet and cook for 5 to 7 minutes on each side until golden, reaching 165°F internal temperature.
  4. Pour lemon juice and zest over the chicken, spooning the sauce over each piece for 2 to 3 minutes until thickened.
  5. Transfer chicken to plates, garnish with fresh parsley, and serve warm.

Notes

Use a meat thermometer to make sure chicken is cooked properly. Feel free to experiment with variations by using different cheeses or adding herbs.
