Step 1: Cook the Linguine
Start by bringing a large pot of salted water to a rolling boil. Add the linguine and cook it according to the package instructions until al dente. Be sure to reserve 1 cup of pasta water before draining. This starchy water will come in handy for loosening the sauce if needed.
Step 2: Prepare the Ground Beef
While the pasta cooks, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef, breaking it up into small pieces with a wooden spoon or spatula. Season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Cook until the beef is browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Once done, remove the beef from the skillet and set it aside.
Step 3: Make the Garlic Butter Base
In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Be careful not to burn the garlic, as this can create a bitter taste.

Step 5: Combine and Finish
Return the cooked ground beef to the skillet, followed by the drained linguine. Toss everything together until the pasta is fully coated in the creamy sauce. If the sauce feels too thick, add a splash of the reserved pasta water and mix until you reach your desired consistency.
Step 6: Serve with Style
