Ingredients

  • 1 cup macaroni pasta
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) with the oven rack in the middle position.
  2. Cook the macaroni according to the package instructions, drain, and set aside.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, egg, salt, and pepper; mix well.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine cooked macaroni with shredded cheddar cheese and milk.
  5. In a baking dish, layer half of the meat mixture evenly at the bottom.
  6. Top with the macaroni and cheese mixture, then layer with the remaining meat mixture.
  7. Bake for 45-50 minutes, until the meat is cooked and cheese is bubbly.
  8. Allow to cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

For a creamier texture, consider adding butter to the macaroni and using sour cream as a topping before baking.
