Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the chocolate cookie crumbs with the melted butter.
  3. Press the mixture into the bottom of a 9-inch pie pan to form a solid crust.
  4. Bake for 10 minutes, then let it cool completely on a wire rack.
  5. In another bowl, mix the granulated sugar, heavy cream, cocoa powder, and vanilla extract.
  6. Using an electric mixer, beat until the mixture is creamy and smooth.
  7. Pour the chocolate filling into the cooled crust and spread it evenly.
  8. Cover the pie with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or until set.
