Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a medium bowl, combine the chocolate cookie crumbs with the melted butter.
- Press the mixture into the bottom of a 9-inch pie pan to form a solid crust.
- Bake for 10 minutes, then let it cool completely on a wire rack.
- In another bowl, mix the granulated sugar, heavy cream, cocoa powder, and vanilla extract.
- Using an electric mixer, beat until the mixture is creamy and smooth.
- Pour the chocolate filling into the cooled crust and spread it evenly.
- Cover the pie with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or until set.
- Top with whipped cream and chocolate shavings before serving.
