Description
A soft and buttery brioche loaf swirled with sweet raspberry jam, perfect for breakfast or a delightful afternoon treat.
Ingredients

- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1 packet (2 1/4 teaspoons) active dry yeast
- 1 cup whole milk, warmed
- 3 large eggs
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup raspberry jam
Instructions
- Warm the milk until it’s warm but not hot. Pour it into a mixing bowl and sprinkle the yeast over it. Let sit for 5 to 10 minutes until foamy.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, and salt.
- Once yeast mixture is foamy, add it and the eggs to the flour mixture. Knead until combined.
- Gradually add softened butter and knead until smooth and elastic (8 to 10 minutes).
- Cover and let rise in a warm area for 1 to 2 hours, or until doubled in size.
- Roll out the dough into a rectangle and spread raspberry jam evenly on top.
- Roll tightly into a log, sealing the edges.
- Twist the loaf gently and place in a greased loaf pan. Cover and let rise for another 30 to 45 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 25 to 30 minutes, until golden brown.
- Allow to cool slightly before slicing.
Notes
Enjoy fresh or toasted with butter. Experiment with different jams or add zest for a twist.
