Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup frozen peas (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the egg noodles according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef and onion over medium heat, then drain any excess fat.
  4. Add cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, salt, and pepper to the skillet, stirring to combine.
  5. Fold in the cooked egg noodles and optional peas until well mixed.
  6. Transfer the mixture to a greased 9×13 inch baking dish and spread evenly.
  7. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden. Let cool before serving.

Notes
