Spicy Tuna and Creamy Crab Sushi Bake

Description

A comforting and creamy sushi bake featuring layers of seasoned rice, imitation crab, and spicy tuna, perfect for cozy nights.


Ingredients

  • ½ lb Imitation Crab
  • ¼ cup Japanese Mayo
  • 1 tbsp Ponzu Sauce
  • 2 tbsp Cream Cheese
  • 2 tbsp Masago
  • 2 cans Tuna (soaked in oil)
  • 3 tbsp Japanese Mayo
  • 1 tbsp Korean Chili Paste
  • 1 tbsp Cream Cheese
  • 1 tsp Black Pepper
  • Rice (enough to make a base layer)
  • Sushi Seasoning
  • Salt to taste
  • Furikake for sprinkling
  • Sesame oil for a drizzle if desired
  • Nori sheets or crispy seaweed for serving

Instructions

  1. Cook rice according to package instructions; let cool slightly and mix in Sushi Seasoning.
  2. Spread seasoned sushi rice evenly in a 9×13 baking dish and press gently to create a compact base.
  3. Layer masago over the rice and sprinkle furikake on top.
  4. Spread half of the crab mixture on one side and the tuna mixture on the other side of the dish.
  5. Drizzle Japanese mayo over both layers and add more furikake on top.
  6. Preheat broiler and broil the dish for 3-5 minutes until the top is crispy and golden.
  7. Serve directly from the baking dish with crispy seaweed on the side.

Notes

Drain tuna well to avoid greasiness. Use fresh-tasting pantry staples whenever possible. Adjust mayo and seasoning to taste.
