- 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 1/2 cups white sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup fresh strawberries, diced
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a medium-sized bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and baking powder.
- In another bowl, cream the softened butter and sugar together using an electric mixer until light and fluffy (about 2 to 3 minutes).
- Add in the egg, vanilla extract, and salt, mixing until well combined.
- Gradually add the dry flour mixture to the wet ingredients and mix until just incorporated.
- Gently fold in the diced strawberries.
- Drop spoonfuls of dough onto ungreased baking sheets.
- Bake for 8 to 10 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
- Let them cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
Notes
For a variety, try adding lemon zest or white chocolate chips. You can also make them gluten-free with a 1:1 baking flour.
