Ingredients

- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup shredded cheese
- 1 bag of tater tots
- 1 small onion, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: 1 clove garlic, minced
- Optional: 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Optional: Splash of beef broth or Worcestershire sauce
- Optional: Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a skillet, cook the ground beef and onion over medium heat until browned, then drain excess grease.
- Stir in cream of mushroom soup and season with salt and pepper.
- Spread the beef mixture evenly in a greased baking dish.
- Top with a layer of tater tots, arranging them in a single layer.
- Sprinkle cheese on top of the tater tots.
- Bake for 30 minutes, or until the tater tots are golden brown and crispy.
- Remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly before serving.
Notes
Let the casserole rest for 5 to 10 minutes before serving for cleaner slices.
