- 1 lb linguine pasta
- 1 lb ground beef
- 3 tbsp butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Start by bringing a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the linguine and cook until tender but still firm to the bite, about 8-10 minutes. Drain and set aside.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and season with salt and pepper. Cook until browned, breaking it into small pieces with a wooden spoon. Transfer the beef to a plate.
- In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant and lightly golden, about 1 minute.
- Pour in the chicken broth and stir, letting it simmer briefly while scraping up any flavorful bits from the bottom of the skillet.
- Reduce the heat and add the heavy cream, allowing it to warm through and thicken slightly for a couple of minutes.
- Stir in the Parmesan and mozzarella cheese, alongside the Italian seasoning and garlic powder. Allow the cheese to melt and create a smooth sauce, then season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Add the cooked beef back into the skillet, stirring to combine with the creamy sauce.
- Toss in the linguine and gently mix everything together until each strand is coated in the rich, creamy sauce.
- Finish with fresh parsley and an extra sprinkle of Parmesan before serving warm.
Notes
For a vegetarian version, replace the beef with sautéed mushrooms or roasted vegetables.
