  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Start by bringing a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the linguine and cook until tender but still firm to the bite, about 8-10 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and season with salt and pepper. Cook until browned, breaking it into small pieces with a wooden spoon. Transfer the beef to a plate.
  3. In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant and lightly golden, about 1 minute.
  4. Pour in the chicken broth and stir, letting it simmer briefly while scraping up any flavorful bits from the bottom of the skillet.
  5. Reduce the heat and add the heavy cream, allowing it to warm through and thicken slightly for a couple of minutes.
  6. Stir in the Parmesan and mozzarella cheese, alongside the Italian seasoning and garlic powder. Allow the cheese to melt and create a smooth sauce, then season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Add the cooked beef back into the skillet, stirring to combine with the creamy sauce.
  8. Toss in the linguine and gently mix everything together until each strand is coated in the rich, creamy sauce.
  9. Finish with fresh parsley and an extra sprinkle of Parmesan before serving warm.

Notes

For a vegetarian version, replace the beef with sautéed mushrooms or roasted vegetables.
