- 1 lb ground beef
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 cup beef broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 8 ounces pasta (penne or spaghetti)
- Fresh chopped parsley, for garnish
Instructions
- Place a large pot over medium heat and add the butter. Once it melts and starts to bubble slightly, add the ground beef. Break it apart as it cooks and let it develop a nice browned color, about 5-7 minutes.
- Add the chopped onion and minced garlic right into the pot. Cook for a couple of minutes until everything softens and gives off a rich, savory aroma.
- Sprinkle in the Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Stir well so the seasoning coats the beef evenly.
- Pour in the beef broth and let it gently simmer for a few minutes. This helps deepen the flavor and brings everything together.
- Stir in the heavy cream and Parmesan cheese. As it heats, the sauce will begin to turn smooth and slightly thick with a rich, velvety texture.
- Add the dry pasta straight into the pot. Make sure it’s mostly covered in the liquid, adding a splash of extra broth or water if needed. Cover and let it cook, stirring every so often so nothing sticks.
- Continue cooking until the pasta is tender and the sauce has thickened enough to coat everything beautifully, approximately 10-12 minutes.
- Take the pot off the heat and let it sit for a minute or two. Finish with a handful of fresh parsley over the top and serve while warm.
