- 12 oz bowtie (farfalle) pasta
- 1 1/2 lbs boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter, divided
- 5 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 1/4 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Cook the Pasta: Start by boiling salted water in a large pot. Add the bowtie pasta and cook until tender, about 10-12 minutes. Once done, drain and set aside.
- Prepare the Chicken: Season the bite-sized chicken pieces with Italian seasoning, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper.
- Brown the Chicken: In a large skillet over medium-high heat, combine the olive oil and 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter. Add the seasoned chicken and cook for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove the chicken and set aside.
- Sauté the Garlic: Reduce the heat to medium, then melt the remaining tablespoon of butter in the same skillet. Add the minced garlic and cook for approximately 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Make the Sauce: Pour in the heavy cream and chicken broth and bring to a gentle simmer while stirring occasionally.
- Incorporate Cream Cheese: Add the softened cream cheese to the sauce, stirring until it’s completely smooth.
- Add the Cheeses: Incorporate the grated Parmesan cheese and shredded mozzarella into the sauce, stirring until it thickens and becomes glossy.
- Combine Pasta and Sauce: Toss the cooked bowtie pasta into the skillet, ensuring every piece is well coated in the sauce.
- Finish with Chicken: Return the golden chicken pieces to the skillet and fold everything together gently.
- Serve and Garnish: Garnish with freshly chopped parsley and serve immediately.
