Description

A comforting and delicious Garlic Butter Chicken Linguine with a creamy sauce made from Parmesan and Havarti cheese, perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 ounces linguine pasta
  • 1 1/2 pounds chicken
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded Havarti cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the linguine until just tender, typically about 8-10 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  2. Heat the olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned chicken pieces and cook until golden brown and fully cooked through, around 7-10 minutes. Transfer the chicken to a plate.
  3. Lower the heat to medium and add the minced garlic to the skillet, cooking briefly until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
  4. Pour in the chicken broth, stirring gently to lift any flavorful bits from the pan.
  5. Add the heavy cream and cream cheese to the skillet, whisking until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
  6. Stir in the Havarti, Parmesan, and mozzarella, mixing until the sauce thickens and becomes luscious.
  7. Sprinkle in the Italian seasoning and half of the chopped parsley, mixing to combine.
  8. Return the cooked chicken to the sauce, stirring well to coat the meat.
  9. Gently add the cooked linguine to the skillet and toss until every strand is enveloped in the creamy goodness.
  10. Allow the dish to sit over low heat for a few minutes so the flavors meld together. Finish with the remaining parsley before serving warm.

Notes

Serve with a light salad and crusty garlic bread to soak up the creamy sauce.
