Description
A delightful creamy pasta dish featuring tender steak, rich cheeses, and luscious spaghetti, perfect for quick weeknight dinners.
Ingredients
Scale
- 12 oz spaghetti
- 1½ lbs sirloin steak, sliced into thin strips
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter, divided
- 5 cloves garlic, minced
- 1½ tsp Cajun seasoning
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp smoked paprika
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 1½ cups heavy cream
- ½ cup beef broth
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- ¾ cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- ½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- Fresh parsley for garnish
- Fresh thyme for garnish
Instructions
- Cook the spaghetti in a large pot of salted water until tender according to the package instructions. Reserve ½ cup of the pasta water before draining and set the spaghetti aside.
- Season the sliced steak with Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over high heat. Sear the steak strips for about 2 minutes on each side until they are deeply golden-brown with caramelized edges, then remove and set aside.
- Add 2 tablespoons of butter and minced garlic to the skillet, tossing to coat the steak in the garlic butter, and let it infuse into the oil.
- Lower the heat to medium and melt the remaining butter in the skillet.
- Pour in the heavy cream and beef broth, allowing it to simmer gently once combined.
- Stir in the cream cheese until smooth, then add the grated Parmesan, cheddar, and mozzarella cheeses. Mix well until the sauce becomes thick, glossy, and stretchy.
- Add the cooked spaghetti to the cheesy sauce and toss until each strand is heavily coated.
- Plate the spaghetti on one side of the dish, with the steak strips arranged on the other to showcase the elegant presentation.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and thyme before serving immediately.
