Description

A delightful creamy pasta dish featuring tender steak, rich cheeses, and luscious spaghetti, perfect for quick weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 oz spaghetti
  • lbs sirloin steak, sliced into thin strips
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter, divided
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1½ tsp Cajun seasoning
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp smoked paprika
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 1½ cups heavy cream
  • ½ cup beef broth
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ¾ cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Fresh parsley for garnish
  • Fresh thyme for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the spaghetti in a large pot of salted water until tender according to the package instructions. Reserve ½ cup of the pasta water before draining and set the spaghetti aside.
  2. Season the sliced steak with Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  3. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over high heat. Sear the steak strips for about 2 minutes on each side until they are deeply golden-brown with caramelized edges, then remove and set aside.
  4. Add 2 tablespoons of butter and minced garlic to the skillet, tossing to coat the steak in the garlic butter, and let it infuse into the oil.
  5. Lower the heat to medium and melt the remaining butter in the skillet.
  6. Pour in the heavy cream and beef broth, allowing it to simmer gently once combined.
  7. Stir in the cream cheese until smooth, then add the grated Parmesan, cheddar, and mozzarella cheeses. Mix well until the sauce becomes thick, glossy, and stretchy.
  8. Add the cooked spaghetti to the cheesy sauce and toss until each strand is heavily coated.
  9. Plate the spaghetti on one side of the dish, with the steak strips arranged on the other to showcase the elegant presentation.
  10. Garnish with fresh parsley and thyme before serving immediately.
