Description

A delicious and comforting pasta dish featuring tender sirloin steak, fettuccine, and a rich garlic-Parmesan cream sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz (225 g) fettuccine or your favorite pasta
  • 1 lb (450 g) sirloin steak, sliced into thin strips
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Boil the pasta. Bring a large pot of salted water to a rolling boil over high heat. Cook the fettuccine according to package instructions until al dente, then reserve 1/2 cup pasta water before draining.
  2. Heat the skillet. While the pasta cooks, warm 2 tablespoons olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Season and brown the steak. Pat the thin sirloin strips dry, then season them with salt and pepper. Arrange them in one layer and cook for 3 to 4 minutes, turning once, until browned and cooked to your liking.
  4. Rest the beef. Transfer the steak to a clean plate as soon as the edges appear golden.
  5. Cook the garlic. Lower the heat to medium, then add the minced garlic to the same skillet and stir for 30 seconds.
  6. Build the cream sauce. Pour in the heavy cream and bring it to a gentle simmer.
  7. Add the cheese and seasoning. Stir in the grated Parmesan and Italian seasoning until the cheese melts completely.
  8. Adjust the consistency. Add reserved pasta water 1 tablespoon at a time if the sauce looks too thick.
  9. Combine and serve. Return the drained pasta and cooked steak to the skillet, then toss gently until everything looks glossy and evenly coated. Serve hot with chopped fresh parsley.

Notes

Use finely grated Parmesan for the best results; it melts more evenly. You can also make this dish with other pasta types or add vegetables.
