- 2 large chicken breasts, boneless and skinless
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- Zest of 1 lemon
- 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
- 8 oz bowtie pasta (farfalle)
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish
Instructions
- Season the chicken breasts on both sides with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
- Cook the chicken in a large skillet with olive oil over medium-high heat until golden brown, then flip and cook until fully done.
- Remove the chicken from the skillet and let it rest before slicing.
- Sauté the minced garlic in the same pan until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
- Prepare the sauce by adding heavy cream, chicken broth, lemon juice, and lemon zest to the pan; stir gently.
- Simmer the sauce until it starts to thicken, creating a smooth texture.
- Cook the bowtie pasta in boiling salted water until tender, about 8–10 minutes; drain well.
- Combine the sliced chicken with the cooked pasta in the skillet, adding Parmesan cheese and mixing until melted.
- Serve the pasta topped with sliced chicken and a sprinkle of chopped parsley.
Notes
Allow the chicken to rest after cooking to retain juices. You can also add steamed vegetables for extra nutrition.
