- 2 lbs sirloin steak, cut into thick bite-sized cubes
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter
- 5 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 1/2 tsp Cajun seasoning
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 2 tbsp butter (for sauce)
- 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
- 1/2 cup whole milk
- 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella
- 3/4 cup grated Parmesan
- 1/2 cup Velveeta, cubed
- 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
Instructions
- Begin by cooking the tortellini according to the package instructions in salted water until tender. Drain and set aside.
- Season the steak cubes generously with Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over high heat until it begins to smoke. Sear the steak bites for about 2 minutes on each side until a deep golden crust forms.
- Add butter and minced garlic to the skillet; baste the steak bites with this aromatic garlic butter. Remove them from the skillet and set aside.
- In a separate saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Pour in the heavy cream and whole milk, simmering until the mixture thickens slightly.
- Add the cubed Velveeta and stir until it becomes smooth. Slowly incorporate the mozzarella and Parmesan cheese, stirring until the sauce is thick and glossy.
- Season the creamy sauce with Italian seasoning, then gently fold in the cooked tortellini, ensuring each piece is coated with the rich sauce.
- On a plate, serve the tortellini on one side and the garlic butter steak bites on the other. Serve immediately for the best flavor experience.

For a vegetarian option, swap steak with grilled vegetables. Adjust spices based on preference.
