  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 2 tbsp butter (for sauce)
  • 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella
  • 3/4 cup grated Parmesan
  • 1/2 cup Velveeta, cubed
  • 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning

Instructions

  1. Begin by cooking the tortellini according to the package instructions in salted water until tender. Drain and set aside.
  2. Season the steak cubes generously with Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over high heat until it begins to smoke. Sear the steak bites for about 2 minutes on each side until a deep golden crust forms.
  4. Add butter and minced garlic to the skillet; baste the steak bites with this aromatic garlic butter. Remove them from the skillet and set aside.
  5. In a separate saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Pour in the heavy cream and whole milk, simmering until the mixture thickens slightly.
  6. Add the cubed Velveeta and stir until it becomes smooth. Slowly incorporate the mozzarella and Parmesan cheese, stirring until the sauce is thick and glossy.
  7. Season the creamy sauce with Italian seasoning, then gently fold in the cooked tortellini, ensuring each piece is coated with the rich sauce.
  8. On a plate, serve the tortellini on one side and the garlic butter steak bites on the other. Serve immediately for the best flavor experience.
