Ingredients
- Steak (your choice of cut, e.g., ribeye or sirloin)
- Potatoes (Yukon Gold or Russet)
- Butter
- Garlic (minced)
- Salt
- Pepper
- Fresh herbs (optional, like rosemary or thyme)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Season your steak generously with salt and pepper on both sides.
- In a skillet, melt butter over medium-high heat. Once the butter is bubbly, add the minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
- Sear the steak in the skillet for about 3-4 minutes on each side for medium-rare.
- Remove the steak from the skillet and let it rest on a plate covered loosely with foil.
- Add cubed potatoes to the same skillet and cook for about 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until golden brown and tender.
- Once the potatoes are done, add the steak back to the skillet and top with additional butter and herbs if desired. Bake for another 5-10 minutes.
