Description

A comforting combination of juicy steak and crispy potatoes drenched in rich garlic butter sauce, perfect for family dinners.

Ingredients

  • Steak (your choice of cut, e.g., ribeye or sirloin)
  • Potatoes (Yukon Gold or Russet)
  • Butter
  • Garlic (minced)
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Fresh herbs (optional, like rosemary or thyme)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Season your steak generously with salt and pepper on both sides.
  3. In a skillet, melt butter over medium-high heat. Once the butter is bubbly, add the minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
  4. Sear the steak in the skillet for about 3-4 minutes on each side for medium-rare.
  5. Remove the steak from the skillet and let it rest on a plate covered loosely with foil.
  6. Add cubed potatoes to the same skillet and cook for about 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until golden brown and tender.
  7. Once the potatoes are done, add the steak back to the skillet and top with additional butter and herbs if desired. Bake for another 5-10 minutes.
  8. Serve and enjoy your delicious garlic butter steak and potatoes!

Notes

Serve with fresh green beans or a crisp salad to balance the richness.
