Description
A comforting one-skillet meal featuring tender steaks and golden, crispy potatoes, perfect for family dinners.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 steaks (such as ribeye or sirloin)
- 4 medium potatoes, diced
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Fresh herbs (like rosemary or thyme), for garnish
Instructions
- Season the steaks generously with salt and pepper on both sides.
- Melt 2 tablespoons of butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add the diced potatoes and cook until golden brown and tender, about 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Push the potatoes to one side of the skillet and add the seasoned steaks in the empty space. Cook each side for about 4-5 minutes for medium rare.
- Add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter and minced garlic to the skillet, basting the steaks with the garlic-butter mixture.
- Remove from heat once the steaks reach your desired doneness. Garnish with fresh herbs and serve warm.
Notes
For a variation, consider adding vegetables such as bell peppers or substituting with sweet potatoes for a different flavor profile.
