Description

A low-carb twist on the classic Philly cheesesteak, these rolls are warm, cheesy, and perfect for a comforting meal.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup sliced bell peppers
  • 1 cup sliced onions
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (Provolone or Cheddar)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Low carb wraps (or a cauliflower crust) for rolls

Instructions

  1. Heat 1 tbsp olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add sliced onions and bell peppers and cook until softened and browned, about 6 to 8 minutes.
  2. Push the vegetables to the side, add ground beef, and break it up with a spatula. Sprinkle with garlic powder, onion powder, and seasonings. Cook until the beef is browned.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in shredded cheese until melted.
  4. Spoon the mixture onto the low carb wraps, roll tightly, and place seam-side down on a greased baking sheet.
  5. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 10 to 15 minutes until the wraps are firm and slightly crispy.
  6. Let the rolls rest for a couple of minutes before serving.

Notes

Keep hot surfaces in mind and ensure beef reaches a safe internal temperature. Store leftovers for up to 3 days and reheat gently.
