Description

A rich and flavorful dish combining steak and linguine in a creamy three-cheese sauce, seasoned with Cajun spices.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 lbs sirloin steak, sliced into thick strips
  • 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 lb linguine pasta
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan
  • 1/2 cup shredded provolone
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the linguine according to package instructions until tender, then drain and set aside while keeping it warm.
  2. In a bowl, coat the sliced steak with Cajun seasoning, smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Toss well to make sure the seasoning covers every piece evenly.
  3. Heat 3 tablespoons of butter in a large skillet over high heat. Once hot, add the steak in a single layer and let it sear without moving it initially, allowing a deep brown crust to form on one side. Flip and cook the other side until nicely caramelized. Remove the steak from the skillet and set it aside.
  4. Lower the heat to medium and add the remaining tablespoon of butter. Stir in the minced garlic and cook briefly until it becomes fragrant.
  5. Pour in the heavy cream and allow it to warm through. Next, add the cream cheese and stir until melted and smooth.
  6. Gradually mix in the mozzarella, Parmesan, and provolone, stirring until the sauce is thick, glossy, and fully melted.
  7. Add the red pepper flakes along with a pinch of salt and pepper to enhance the flavors of the sauce.
  8. Toss the cooked linguine into the sauce, making sure each strand is well-coated in that luscious cheese goodness.
  9. Plate the pasta and arrange the Cajun steak alongside. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.

Notes

For best results, don’t rush the cheese melting process and keep an eye on seasoning after adding the cheeses.
